PRODUCTION AND PROTOTYPING
Based on class discussion/feedback, reconsider your book concept/format/layouts.
CONCEPT A (the “client requirement” concept)
For your concept that meets the client’s requirements, design a book that will be printed/bound by Lulu.com. If there are any other parts of the concept (slip case, etc.), please mock it up to fit your Lulu book. The goal is to handle a real physical working complete prototype by April 7.
In class, you will present a hard copy of some portion of what you have sent to Lulu. this includes the cover and back cover, intro pages, 10 spreads, the index.
Note: Lulu requires a certain amount of time for production/shipping, so be aware of dates! it MUST have been sent out BEFORE next class.
WORK DUE
Bring prototypes into class. Post photos, sample layouts on the class blog.
Be sure to post your work on the blog BEFORE class.
